The Miami Dolphins "Get It"

Any pro sports team is going to have a loyal following of fans. While most Miami Dolphin fan-site webmasters are used to getting cease and desist orders (I've been there, done that), recently they received something very different from the team's management - an invitation to come visit. In an unprecedented move, the Dolphins management invited 14 Dolphin fan-site owners down to Miami for what they hope will be an annual "Dolphins Web Weekend." The webmasters were treated to autograph sessions, tours, a BBQ, and seats at a pre-season game. The only business that they attended to was a short presentation from an NFL official on the proper use of pictures and video.

This is such a huge move in my mind. Instead of the typical method of sending the lawyer attack dogs after the fanatic fans who love them, they've decided to be NICE to them and even HELP them. Don't you think that these webmasters will now obey the few rules laid down by their new "FRIENDS" in the Miami Dolphins organization? ABSOLUTELY. This is how it ought to be.
